September Athlete of the Month: Dom Johnson!

Somewhere over the summer, our next “Athlete of the Month” very noticeably stepped into another gear. Domingo Johnson, nine months into CrossFit, started showing up with a purpose: coming in consistently, improving on technique and mobility, and starting to approach performing workouts as prescribed. Soon enough, Dom got his first Rx workout this month, and several more soon after! We love that he is starting to see improvements outside the gym in the outdoor sports he loves. He is making great gains in his fitness and is definitely on a roll. We are so proud of his hard work this month and can’t wait to see him keep the PRs coming! Congratulations, Dom!
CS: What’s your favorite thing about coming to a CrossFit class?
Dom: I have to pick one? I guess it has to start with the people. Lots of good vibes all around.
CS: What are your most satisfying accomplishments in the gym so far?
Dom: First has been improving my consistency. Next I’m starting to see some results and knocking at the door of some RX workouts. Also seeing improvements in my other activities (running, surfing and mountain biking).
CS: What do you attribute your success at the gym to?
Dom: I believe if you want to do anything consistently you’re going to have to enjoy it. Having great coaches and people to work out with goes a long way towards that.
