Success Stories & Testimonials
Pete Lost 30lbs!
Prior to CrossFit Sausalito, I thought for awhile that I could maintain a level of fitness by hiking regularly and mountain biking but I realized after a few months that I was not losing weight and my fitness was not increasing so I joined CrossFit Sausalito in February of 2012. I was looking into gyms…
Sarah A Passion for Fitness
What were you doing for fitness before CrossFit? I used to run a lot. I loved to run half-marathons and even crossed off a bucket-list item by running a marathon in 2011. I was slow and steady and didn't really push myself too hard with running, so I was always looking to do more with…

"Being a competitive person, everyone in this gym pushes me and motivates me to be better. But even more than that, the coaches are what I attribute my success to. Whether its one of them on the ground with me when I can't do another push-up, sneaking extra weight on my bar when they think I'm sandbagging, discussing nutrition, humoring me when I want a skill session on every.damn.movement, or letting me stay late to work on DUs, these coaches push me when I may not be willing to push myself. What keeps me coming back every day and staying long after the workout is over is the people. Coming from a larger gym, the beauty of a smaller gym is I actually get to know the people I'm working out with. You get to know their kids and jobs and travel plans. And they quickly become people you want to hang out with outside of the gym. From the coaches to the newbies to the vets, I'm constantly surrounded by people that are encouraging, friendly and motivating. CS is more than just a gym. It's a family. A crazy, sweaty, noisy and constantly sore family that I'm so glad I stumbled upon."

"I have been a member of CrossFit Sausalito for over a year now and can’t get enough. Not only are all of the coaches supportive, patient, and just nice people, the other members are as well. It’s an environment that is not only nurturing, but draws you back in, even across the GG Bridge for a 6am class 2x a week! While other CrossFits exude a “Meat Head” persona, Sausalito is a supportive and encouraging gym for Moms, Dads, twenty-somethings, sixty-somethings, and even high school lacrosse players. You won’t feel intimated at all and in fact, you generally receive a warm welcome from the CrossFit Sausalito Mascot, Rylie."

"Crossfit is a great workout which marries both cardio and weightlifting into athletic movements and pushes you to get better. Which is exactly what I needed because as I get older I want to continue to play sports at a high level and stay motivated through workouts. The icing on the cake is they have showers which is perfect for me to get in a great workout and then head directly into SF for work."

“Great place for anyone who wants to get in shape. If you want to hang out and talk, this is not the place to be. Workouts are varied and combine cardiovascular and strength training each time. Plus, it’s an hour of time total, from when you walk in to when you walk out. The coaches are very knowledgeable and can adapt the workout to fit each person’s abilities. There is also a great sense of community at CS.”
